£412.89
Lights.co.uk
Hand-pleated snowdrop designer hanging light the snowdrop pendant light, which has a hand-pleated lampshade made of white paper, guarantees atmospheric lighting in many different living spaces. For more than 75 years now, le klint has been producing designer lights in denmark, specifically in odense, on the island of funen, which are largely characterised by the unique features of the lampshades. These are made of paper or plastic and are still pleated by hand, as it has not yet been possible to create a machine that can perform this delicate pleating technique to the standard required by the manufacturer. This is why we still employ pleaters, who learn their craft in a three-year apprenticeship at le klint. As well as many new creations, the classic lights from the 1940s are, to this day, still amongst the best-selling products of the renowned danish lighting manufacturer, whose company history began when the architect p. V. Jensen-klint pleated a lampshade for a paraffin lamp. The company was founded in 194.
