A coat of yesteryear makes a comeback to the limelight of the catwalks reinterpreted in a modern and decidedly rocker fashion. Hoods and capes represent the glamorous alternative for the coming winter to classic overcoats, plus the advantage that they adapt to all kinds of body shapes. Miu Miu has shown several models on the catwalks- from one made of technical fabric that resembles an Eskimo from the front, and the ankle-length wool model with military-inspired golden front button fastening, to be worn with the most stunning combat boots. The model suggested by Max Mara is the result of deconstructing the legendary camel masculine coat, while Burberry offers a reversible version with leather straps. The super-glamorous capes by Valentino even include a scarf, in the classic red and canary yellow colours. There are also the most ethnic versions, such as the arabesque-printed ones from Etro.
