A forerunner of laminated dresses and metallic fabrics, Paco Rabanne showed, on the catwalks, sparkling dresses and tops like seductive armours to be worn with maxi-sweatshirts and sneakers. Loewe chooses peacock blue and lamé for the knitted midi skirts and vests with chunky knots at the bottom. Junya Watanabe's shorts, long skirts and dresses with a silver studded faux-leather bustier show off giant sequins. Carolina Herrera, instead, chooses micro-sequins for a mirror effect to the blouse where the spectacular puff sleeves are the stars. Philosophy Lorenzo Serafini goes for combining colours with an iridescent effect, where sequins illuminate neutral tones between ivory and beige in a sophisticated ‘40s style.
