The subtle design with the characteristic features of scandinavian minimalism was created by danish designer and co-founder of the company, søren ravn christensen, who had a very specific goal in mind with his design: "the illusion of weightlessness on the earth's surface had to be challenged by a lightweight construction that defies gravity." With its round bronze base and graceful brass style, the asteria table has a timeless look. However, the contrasting colour of the lampshade gives it a fresh look and makes the construction appear light and weightless.
