New Balance is an illustrious brand founded in Boston in 1906 that manufactures sport footwear and apparel. Today it is a true giant in the sector, but until 1961 it only sold arch supports. The first New balance shoe was the 'Trackster'. The sales success exceeded expectations, since marketing was mostly word-of-mouth.
