This "organic light-emitting diode" combines many ecological and economic advantages. It consists of thin layers of semiconducting organic materials that are located between two current-conducting layers and emit light as long as current is flowing. The oleds emit uv- and ir-free light and create a cosy atmosphere in the room, emitting flat light that spreads a very pleasant lighting effect and is absolutely glare-free.
