Salvatore Ferragamo, the 'shoemaker to the stars', made his fortune in Hollywood before returning to Italy and settling in Florence, where he opened a women’s shoe workshop. Since 1950, the headquarters of the Ferragamo atelier, located in the Palazzo Spini Feroni, has been a destination for actresses, aristocrats, and lovers of beauty.
