The lampshade is composed of overlapping strips in different warm colours. It is made of rattan and abaca, a plant species from east asia that is used, for example, in the production of ship ropes. The pendant light brings an attractive, natural touch to the living area and creates a cosy atmosphere. The light bulb socket is located in the centre of the inside of the shade. It is surrounded by a separate diffuser, which ensures that the light is emitted into the surrounding area without glare. With the grass series of lights, product designer jette scheib wanted to express the tranquillity inherent in the traditional weaving process.
