Multi-lite pendant light – a design icon with a sophisticated structure the multi-lite pendant light can rightly be described as a design classic. Danish designer louis weisdorf created this timeless, decorative light source with a adjustable lampshade back in 1972, just a few years after opening his own studio in copenhagen. After graduating from the royal danish academy of fine arts, weisdorf (born in 1932) worked for many years as an architect and designer in various fields, including ten years as chief assistant to the head architect at the famous tivoli amusement park in copenhagen. Some of the objects created by weisdorf are now sought-after collector's items at auctions. The multi-lite lampshade is made of individual metal elements – two cylinders in the middle, surrounded by two quarter spheres that can be moved on the outer ring so that the light shines indirectly upwards, directly downwards or asymmetrically.
