Dimmable malamata floor lamp with swivelling and tilting arm the malamata floor lamp is equipped with a steel structure consisting of a round base, a vertical standing star and a horizontal arm. The latter holds the spherical lampshade at one end, which is made of mouth-blown opal glass and emits the light of the lamp to be used homogeneously on all sides. A counterweight is attached to the opposite section of the upper arm, which can be released, moved and locked in place using a push button and tension spring. The inclination of the arm can be flexibly adjusted by positioning the weight; the latter can also be rotated through 360°. The dimmer switch on the cable offers an additional adjustment option. The name malamata refers to the hebrew meaning of "up" and "down" and was chosen by israeli designers kfir schwalb and orit magia (studio shulab).
