Tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and entrepreneur Gaetano Savini opened their first Brioni tailoring shop in Rome in 1945. A few years later, in 1952, the brand was the central attraction at the first men's fashion runway show in history, held in Florence at the Palazzo Pitti. Their tailored collections and made-to-measure creations are recognized for their artisanal excellence today as always.
